About Ginger Mentz

A native of southern Colorado, Ginger Mentz, MD, currently serves as a Dermatologist at Colorado Springs Dermatology. Dr. Mentz provides general dermatological services, including treatment for skin cancer, rosacea, and skin diseases, as well as cosmetic dermatology procedures, such as laser procedures, spider vein treatment and anti-aging injectables. Prior to becoming board certified and joining the Colorado Springs Dermatology in 2009, Dr. Ginger Mentz trained and served for 3 years as a dermatology resident in post-Katrina New Orleans helping some of the nations most needy.

Dr. Ginger Mentz earned her undergraduate degree from Loyola University, and went on to obtain her Doctor of Medicine from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center of New Orleans. Dr. Mentz subsequently completed a three-year Dermatology Residency at Tulane Health Sciences Center, where she served as Chief of the Cosmetic Clinic. A fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), Dr. Ginger Mentz has become a recognized leader in her field. She recently co-authored a chapter on “Dermatology Cosmeceuticals” in the textbook Regional Approach to Aesthetic Rejuvenation.

Along with running her practice and maintaining affiliation with such relevant professional organizations as the AAD, Dr. Ginger Mentz also supports several dermatological organizations in a philanthropic capacity. These include, among others, the American Academy of Dermatology’s Skin Cancer Screening Program and the Women’s Dermatologic Society’s Skin Cancer Screening Program. Moreover, she also contributes to the Junior League of Colorado Springs, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, and the Fine Arts Center of Colorado Springs.
